Climate change and ecological breakdown have devastating impacts on the physical and mental health, wellbeing and livelihoods of people of all ages. Policy makers and other contributors must recognise the specific risks for older people facing the climate crisis, protect their rights, and ensure their voices are heard.

Climate Charter

In August 2023, Age International signed the Climate and Environment Charter for Humanitarian Organizations. The Charter aims to send a clear signal to the international community that humanitarian organisations have a key role to play in helping to address climate crises around the world. The Charter intends to provide a clear vision and principles to guide humanitarian action in the face of the climate and environment crises.
