DEC Afghanistan Final Evaluation Report

‘Humanity and Inclusion (HI) Afghanistan implemented the DEC funded project ‘Boosting resilience of vulnerable people, with a specific focus on marginalized and displacement affected men and women of all ages with and without disabilities, ensuring inclusive sustainable livelihoods complementing emergency comprehensive rehabilitation services and explosive ordnance risk education and prevention across Herat Province’ from 1st June 2022 to 30th December 2023 in the Injil and Zindajan districts of Herat Province. The aim of the project was to increase the resilience of vulnerable and marginalised groups, including displaced persons, persons with disabilities and older people, by providing a diverse but complimentary set of support services.

Age International managed the project's contracts and relationship with the Disaster Emergency Committee (DEC), while Humanity and Inclusion implemented the project with technical support from HelpAge International. The purpose of the report is to assess the project's performance, its success in achieving goals and how resources were managed, particularly following an earthquake response in October 2023’.
