Commitment to safeguarding
As an organisation working to protect the wellbeing and dignity of older people, and amplifying older people’s voices as they speak up for their needs and rights, Age International’s commitment to safeguarding is at the heart of our mission and organisational values.
Age International’s work is driven by a commitment to best practice, compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and being accountable to our own staff, donors in the UK and to people for whom we work through our international programmes.
We have a Zero-Tolerance approach to any harm to, or exploitation of, a vulnerable adult or child by any of our staff, representatives, or partners.
Expected behaviours of our staff and representatives are clearly stated in our Code of Conduct.
Safeguarding Concerns
If you have serious concerns about the conduct of Age International staff, volunteers or trustees, consultants or contractors working on our behalf (e.g. in relation to safeguarding), or about projects we are funding with a partner, then we encourage you to raise these with us. Please submit a confidential report by emailing us below. This email address is monitored by our Age International Staff Safeguarding Lead.
